Pastel Portraits

I've been pretty busy with my full time job learning a new 3D software and practicing

caricature techniques. Now I'm working with one of daughters (Jessica) on a caricature logo for a client. Just wanted to post something new so these are a couple of commissioned portraits I did a few years ago.

This is a caricature that I posted on the ISCA forum for the first time! It was done in marker and pen, using a black grease pencil for shading. This is a big step for me and just the beginning!

This is a Pencil study for a Pastel portrait commission I did several years ago. This was an early stage of the study for Erin's picture and I will be posting the finished portrait soon. At the time of this picture, I was primarily working on pastel portraits and improving my watercolor technique. All this has led into a study of caricature drawing, which is my current "passion" but I want to be able to share past, as well as present, work. Thank you for letting me share it with you and feedback is welcome.

colors lite. It was kinda hard at first but then I started to get the feel

for it...it's fun!

I've been working on learning how to add color to a caricature, this is fun no pressure (in my studio) but I know if I want to improve I'll have to get my feet wet and do it live! now that's pressure!
