Behind the Chutes
Tom Hill is one of my favorite watercolor artist, I like his style and technique. I'm following a demo from his book "Color for the watercolor painter" my colors or a little different but that's ok.
Yes his work is awesome and your exercise to learn by painting from his work is excellent! Keep up the great watercolor work! BTW, came thru from Mel's blog, San Antonio.... hope to catch up with you someday!
Hi Steve, man all you guys are great...there is so much talent out there that it is nice to be able to communicate and learn to get better. I will be at NCN convention this November maybe I'll see you there...
I just found your blog today. I was doing a search for the painting "Behind The Chutes" by Tom Hill. I bought one of his older paintings off eBay and while reframing it I discovered it had a study for the Chutes painting.
I thought I might have had the original, but close inspection shows it's somewhat different.
Anyway, If you'd like to see it you can visit my website www.spencermeagher.com Contact me with your email address and I'll send you a picture of it. I put it in today's newsletter, but I' haven't uploaded it to my webpage yet.
